When you’re on the search for the perfect minivan for your commutes around Savannah, Hardeeville, and Pooler, GA, you’re going to want something that can comfortably seat the entire family as well as all the cargo you need carry. Two models you may be considering are the Chrysler Pacifica and the Honda Odyssey.
Here at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram North Savannah, we’re dedicated to providing our drivers with an easy and informative car buying experience, and we know that starts with the research process. To find out which of these minivans is the right choice for you, check out our 2020 Chrysler Pacifica vs. 2020n Honda Odyssey comparison below!
To get started, we’ll look at the MPG ratings for both these minivans, because they’ll provide us with an idea of how often you’ll need to stop and fuel up.
With the 2020 Pacifica, there’s a Hybrid trim level which delivers an EPA-estimated 82 MPGe fuel-efficiency rating. The Hybrid engine can seamlessly switch from electric to gas, so you don’t have to worry about not being near a charging station when you’re out on the road.
With the 2020 Odyssey, you’re only going to get a 19 city and 28 highway MPG rating, which doesn’t even compare the fuel-efficiency ratings found with the Pacifica.
Now, we’ll head right inside these two minivans to see just how much space you’ll be getting.
In the Pacifica, you’re going to find room for up to eight passengers depending on the seating arrangement you choose. Due to the standard Stow ’n Go® Seating and Storage System, you’ll be able to quickly fold the second and third rows and access extra cargo room. You’re going to have 243 possible seating configurations within the 165 cubic feet of passenger volume.
Over in the Odyssey, you’re only going to get 163.6 cubic feet of passenger volume, and the interior seating lacks the same level of versatility.
You’re going to want a plethora of innovative technology features that are sure to keep everyone entertained no matter how long the drive ahead.
The 2020 Pacifica offers an available Uconnect® Theater system, which includes dual 10-inch HD touchscreens with a Blu-ray™ player, dual HDMI inputs, wireless headphones, wireless streaming, Bluetooth® remote controls, and games and apps.
While the 2020 Odyssey does offer a rear entertainment system as well, it only includes one screen rather that two and doesn’t come with as many features as the system found in the Pacifica.
While both of these minivans may be decent choices for your travels around Savannah, Hardeeville, and Pooler, GA, it’s clear that the Pacifica outperforms the Odyssey in crucial categories like fuel efficiency, interior cabin comfort, and entertainment technology.
